Happy to announce our Spring Meeting in Canterbury was a resounding success! We met at The Beaney for the meeting. Richard Coates gave an illustrated presentation about Alderson’s who had mad their homes in Kent. This was followed by a buffet lunch and then a talk by Jenny Watson-Bore a registered Canterbury tour guide. We had lots of time for chat and catching up with new and old friends who joined us. That evening we enjoyed a group dinner at our hotel and lots more chat. Next day we met Jenny again and she gave us a guided tour of the beautiful city, pointing out particular landmarks that had Alderson connections. After we said our goodbyes and either stayed a little longer to explore the area or headed home.
Our Spring Meeting this year will be held in the beautiful city of Canterbury in the south east of England, so it would be lovely to meet members from the South who haven’t been able to travel to the north! The dates are 2nd and 3rd April.
Members will have received full details by email and a flyer will also be in next month’s Alderson Roots so watch out for your post. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you require further details – webmaster@afhs.org Jill
