Thanks to Pat and Sue for organising a great event at Leeds for our Spring Meeting.
Yesterday (22nd April) we visited the Leeds Industrial Museum and learned how Leeds became a big player in the textiles industry and also how some Alderson’s were involved especially the family of long standing member Pauline Stewart and also Sue and Pat’s family.
In the evening we enjoyed a group meal in a private dining room back at our hotel where we were able to socialise and chat with each other.
Today (23rd April) we visited Sunny Bank Mill at Farley where we were given a very informative tour by a very enthusiastic young lady about the history and the future work of the buildings.
