We met at Barnard Castle for our AGM and Autumn Meeting 2026.

The daytime event was held in The Witham. The morning speaker was our Vice Chairman Andrew Alderson who gave a very interesting talk on The Alderson Pewterers and also brought along some pieces of Alderson Pewter from his personal collection. Andrew’s talk was very interesting and very well received by the members present.
Before lunch we held the AGM. Godfrey Alderson has stood down as Treasurer and Pat Cain thanked him for his many years of service and presented him with a piece of Alderson Pewter.
After a pleasant lunch the second speaker was Prof Phil Batman who gave a talk on The Migration of Alderson’s from Swaledale to Lancashire which was also very interesting and well received.
In the evening we met up again for dinner at the Three Horseshoes.
The following day after breakfast we drove to Bishop Auckland where we enjoyed a tour of the Princes Palace before heading home.
